Have you ever been so afraid of what could go wrong that you give up before you have taken the first step?

I often struggle with starting because of fear. There are so many opportunities that I have passed on because of this overwhelming fear of the world, I have allowed the enemy to imprison me in. I always told my friends that I was the risk taker of our group, but as I got older that became less and less true.  Even small things are still hard for me to accomplish because of the "what if?" in the back of my mind.

Recently, my parents and I had a discussion regarding this very topic. I love my parents because they are not afraid to challenge me in the best of ways. We were talking about starting...starting anything and finishing! Pursuing my dreams because, "time waits for no one and nothing", my mom said. If I am being honest, in the moments of having this conversation I became overwhelmed at the idea of moving. Moving, in any direction from where I was...COMFORTABLE.

The unknown has been a sort of no man's land that I have refrained from adventuring into. As I sat in my own thoughts and talked with the Lord I began to realize how much LIFE fear had robbed from me. I have decided to plant a flag in this soil of my life and travel NORTH!

Heh, quite literally! (well, Northeast)

I won't let fear stop me from pursuing my dreams anymore. I'm going to make my dreams happen and when I get scared all I have to remember is that God has me every step of the way. So, this upcoming summer I'm taking a pretty big first step and Stretching My Boundaries!   I will be taking a trip with Gateway Church to New York  in June 2020! I'm so excited for this new adventure and to see what God has in store for me!
