So I am pretty excited about this new site. I am having fun getting my creative juices flowing again. It has been a while since I took on any photography sessions, so getting my feet wet again is turning out to be a lot of fun. I am playing around in a few different areas of creativity right now. I am doing graphic design like logos, print, business cards, and custom invitations. I am also doing some basic web design like my site that you are looking at now and a few others. I have spent the last few months dabbling in some creative writing, sharing my stories and experiences as the Lord leads. I also have been shooting some events with a friend of mine that also works in photography. There is a lot going on over here in the Dromgoole casa with our four littles, who by the way aren't so little any more. We recently celebrated birthdays and are now parenting some bigger kids 10, 9, 9, and 7. The boys are starting to do the alpha male roar. Which might be easier to walk through if they were not sharing a room but at the same time I love that as they are going through this we are getting so many opportunities to talk to them about how God created them in His image and what it looks like to steward these amazing gifts that He created in them. The other cool part is getting a front row seat to watch, hear, and come alongside Tom as he really takes on the father role in this season of the boys life. It is bitter sweet for me as my role becomes more of a facilitator of all the wisdom that Tom is pouring out for our boys. However that said I also get to move a little more into the role of "help-mate" concerning our boys. Meaning they are running more to him than they are to me right now as they walk through this "right of passage", if you will, in to young man-hood. It really is quite fascinating. On the flip-side the girls, while walking in a similar season, are doing a whole different song and dance. The hormones that are flaring in our home can have both intense highs and lows and be quite comical all at the same time. There is not a thing I would change about what we are walking through right now. The process is revealing so much about each of our kids individual personalities and giving us slight glimpses into how they will interact with each other and others so differently when they are older. There is no greater calling on this journey that Tom and I have embarked on to love, affirm and teach our children. If life is a theme park, parenting is the most amazing ride in the park hands down. Our kids have taught us so much about prioritizing, appreciating the silent moments in life (hehe), compromise, what unconditional love looks like, both giving and receiving. They have grown us up in so many ways and have taught us so much. So here I will insert my randomness for today. I would really love to get a puppy and keep it! I mean we have tried 2 times before to do the puppy thing but I think we are giving up right before the break-through, hehe. I mean the pups we have brought home we loved so dearly. I am hoping that soon we will be able to adopt a puppy, when we do we have already decided there is no turning back. It will be for better or for worse. The kittens were very sweet and we really miss Millie a lot but we could not figure out which one between the two of them was messing and spraying all over the house (it was pretty bad) and they had to go. :( Lastly, quick Happy Birthday shout outs to my mom and sweet friend Maree who celebrated birthdays today!! My sister Connie who celebrates her birthday on the 9th of January. Marissa celebrating on the 14th. To my amazing husband who I treasure with all my heart, Happy Birthday on the 19th. I am so thankful for all of your 35 years, especially the 24 that we have been friends. I love you so much and am thankful for you and your love in my life. Happy Birthday Y'all!!!
Anywho, I am off now to go watch a movie with my mister. Night night! ;)
